Olivieri Real Estate LLC is taking the lead in the Southwest suburbs. We’re currently evaluating our entire stock of office space for lease to save energy. We recognize that building energy use is important, and we’ve taken the first steps to inform our tenants about how our buildings use energy.
ENERGY STAR® for buildings is a program run by the Department of Energy to encourage energy saving strategies. Similar to the programs set up for appliances and electronics, buildings that qualify for the ENERGY STAR rating have demonstrated with real time data that the building energy used is less than other buildings of a similar type. Using less energy means less money spent on utility bills. Our High Point One office building (ENERGY STAR 2009) uses roughly 40% less energy than an average office building. All of that savings is realized by our tenants.
Though not all buildings will qualify for the ENERGY STAR, the first step is to track and document your building energy use. By using past utility bills and obtaining information about the space, we can efficiently enter all of the data to evaluate your building energy. We are familiar with the process and can evaluate your building.
We will work with you to compile the required data, analyze it, and determine areas where building energy improvements could help save energy. Before you can move forward, you have to know where you’re at. We can help, give us a call today.
